Muciafora is a small rural village amongst the olive trees. Its origins go back to an ancient monastry laying on top of a hill at the border of the Casentino valley. It overlooks the plain to the north of Arezzo, at a distance of about 7km.
In the near by village of Ponte alla Chiassa (1,5km) one can find shops such as food shops, baker, café, butcher, newsagent, flower shop, tobacco and cigarettes and hardware shop, and services such as bank, pharmacy and post office. Near by one can also find many good restaurants and pizzerias.
Muciafora est un petit village parmi les oliviers. A' l'origine un ancient Monastère, il est placé sur une des collines à l'entrée du Casentino. Il surmonte la plaine au nord d'Arezzo, dont il est à 7km.
Dans le village de Ponte alla Chiassa (1,5km) on peut trouver des magasins (alimentation, boulangerie, charcuterie, bar, journaux, fleuriste, tabac, quincaillerie) et services (banque, pharmacie, bureau de poste). Aux alentours on trouve aussi d'excellents restaurants et pizzerias.
How to get here/Comme arriver
Car: Motorway "Autostrada del Sole" A1 - at exit "Arezzo" follow the signs towards the city, then towards Bibbiena/Casentino. Take the second exit "Ponte alla Chiassa" then follow the sign towards Anghiari. Drive less than 1km and take a left (sign "Muciafora"), keep driving for 1km to get to Muciafora. You'll find i 3 cipressi on your left hand side immediately after the village.
Train: Get off at Arezzo's train station on the Firenze/Roma line, then take city bus (orange) No.9; it will take you to the cross roads to Muciafora (terminus "Le Fornaci") in about 25 mins. There, you will find us to greet you.
Plane: The closest airports are Florence, Pisa and Rome.
Auto: Autoroute "Autostrada del Sole" A1 - Sortie "Arezzo". Suivre vers la ville et après vers Bibbiena/Casentino. A' la deuxième sortie de "Ponte alla Chiassa", suivre la direction "Anghiari" pour moin d'1km, et après tourner à gauche au panneau "Muciafora". Vous arrivérez au village après 1km de montée et la maison i 3 cipressi sera à votre gauche just après le village.
Train: Gare d'Arezzo sur la ligne Firenze/Roma, et puis le bus orange n°9 vous mènera au carrefour pour Muciafora (terminus "Le Fornaci"), ou l'on vous attendra.
Avion: Les aéroports les plus voisins sont ceux de Firenze, Pisa ou Roma.
